Douglas James Kelly, age 71, of Brimfield Township, formerly of Northfield, passed away peacefully Saturday, August 24, 2024. Doug was the beloved husband for 38 years of Jacquelyn (nee Rowe); devoted father of Brandy (Michael) Hugill; loving brother of Joyce (George) Jyurovat, Leo (Peggy) Kelly and Timothy (Renee) Kelly; dear uncle and great uncle of many. Doug worked as a Police Sergeant for Oakwood Village for many years. Private services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made in Doug's name to the Humane Society of Summit County (www.summithumane.org) or to the Portage Animal Protective League (www.portageapl.org).
